Such a nice day for a round of golf -
Sheila Steele and Cherry Jamieson at the 18th

silver winner Anna Telfer

Congratulations to Kylie Walker - she finished joint fourth in the Helen Holm trophy with an excellent six under par 69 at Royal Troon today. Kylie had an eagle at the 11th and seven birdies - having watched her playing in the final at Douglas Park last week, I am not too surprised as she was hitting some great shots - well done from all at D & A.
Anne Laing also did well to qualify for the last day at Royal Troon and she had a 79 today - her two previous rounds were 76 & 77.

D & A v Stirling and Clack. at Glenbervie Golf Club
Sunday 13th April
The match was drawn two games all at Glenbervie. Two of our squad members were attending seniors training with SLGA and this gave some of our junior players the chance to step into the breach and they performed well. Juniors Nichola Ferguson and Zoe Differ had a good win as did Louisa Ruane and Laura McGeechy. A last minute call off meant we were one short so Elaine Allison Sand the captain of S & C played for D & A with Kirsten Scott who Elaine described as a very good prospect and a bit of a bandit off her present handicap - they were beaten on the last hole. Lorraine Campbell and Jill Meldrum lost to players who were two over par. All in all the team played well and had a good practice for the County Championships on a dry course and the sun was shining so that cannot be bad. Report from Capt. Kay McColl
