The ladies who travelled to Dalmally for the county fun day really did have a very good time. The friendliness of the Dalmally members takes a bit of beating and we had such a good looking young man to send us on our way - so to speak.
If I ever stop playing golf - I will still make the effort to get to Dalmally for the food, it must be the best bargain of the year to have all that lovely soup - celery or tomato & pear - sandwiches, pancakes (a lot of these were eaten by Alison Campbell although I am not one for telling tales!!!) Savoury items, all types of cakes and meringues and tablet to die for - quite a feast. The really good thing is that you can start the day with tea or coffee and whatever takes your fancy - then play nine holes and then get right into the soup and sandwiches, have a little rest and then back out for the second nine holes and this also lets you have time to work up a bit of an appetite for what awaits on the return to the clubhouse. Simply super - thanks to all the ladies of Dalmally for such a feast.
Now to the course - I played two years ago and it was a bit damp underfoot - the course today was in first class condition and thanks must go to the greenkeeping staff for having the course in such great condition - the greens were superb. The thanks do not stop there - the clubhouse was looking great with lovely BLUE flowers and blue napkins - hats off to the Dalmally members.

such a lovely view

Dalmally welcomes us

Alison on the left ate most of the pancakes and Isobel ate most of the cakes - would I tell a lie???

Jinty did not pay me any money so here she is eating cake!!!!

and a quick look to see if anybody noticed!!! I did!!!

Here we have Annabel eating whatever!!!

D & A Ladies do well at the Bowls
at Hilton Park Golf Club

Helen Faulds of Douglas Park was runner up to the best nett score yesterday at Hilton Park - Merle Oxton of St. Boswell golf club had a net 66 (14) to win. Helen had a 72 (4) well done Helen.
It would appear that only four ladies took part in division two and Isobel Millar of Vale of Leven won the scratch prize with the lowest gross of 107 - I think they will be giving Isobel this cup to keep as she has won it several times in the past - is it four in a row? I am not sure - will find out. Well done Isobel.
